If you are here, on Hatteras Island, please be aware that if you plan on using the Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry you could encounter delays, load weight restrictions and possible suspensions due to extreme shoaling of the Hatteras Inlet channel. UPDATEThe National Park Service has released a final ruling for the off-road vehicle (ORV) use for Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The rule was published Monday, January 23, in the Federal Register and will become effective as of Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Click to read full blog!
