Fun Hatteras Activities
Day at the Docks will be held from September 13-16, 2012 in Hatteras Village on the waterfront! The Annual Day at the Docks on Hatteras Island brings local fishing families and tourists together on the waterfront for a celebration of life long traditions! This is a wonderful event for everyone, residents and visitors, all are welcome to come out and join us for a day of fun. There are fun activities going on throughout the day for all ages. We hope to see you there!
A free program is being offered at Chicamacomico Life Saving Station, The Real Taffy of Torpedo Junction. This will be the last performance presented by native resident Carol Dillon and will be video graphed in order to preserve this treasured piece of American History.
We are at The Beach Klub in Avon, North Carolina's first and only oceanfront Beach Klub. Tonight, Thursday July 26, 2012, The Embers will be performing on this very stage! This famous beach music group will be performing at the Beach Klub tonight from 7pm-10pm. If you love beach music, or just enjoy relaxing oceanfront listening to live music, The Beach Klub is the place you want to be tonight

The Sea Breeze Trail in Hatteras Village takes you on an educational journey through the salt marsh and the upland maritime forest. There are numerous types of plants and animal species in the park.

The National Park Service will be offering Full Moon Tours of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse the evening of Friday, July 15! Two tours will be given, one at 8:30 p.m. and a second at 9:30 p.m., and each tour is limited to 30 people. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and ticket sales will begin on Wednesday, July 13. The lighthouse ticket booth is open from 8:15 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. daily. Don't delay the tickets will sell out quick, so get yours today!
