The HICF 5K is going VIRTUAL. In keeping pace with the times, this year’s HICF 5K is being run virtually from our neighborhood to yours. Normally held on the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend, this year you have the option of running the 5K at any time between 8:00 a.m. Friday, October 9th and 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13th. AND, you get to pick where you run the 5K. Run it through your neighborhood, your favorite park, around the track at the local school, or down the beach. If a 5K is a little too far for you, consider the 1-mile Fun Run. We’re leaving it up to you as to when and where you run but we are making one request – we would love for you to share pictures with us of you participating in the 1st ever HICF Virtual 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run!!! So put on your most outrageous pink outfit, grab your family members and friends, and pick your course. Snap some pictures and load them up on Facebook and tag the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation!!
The cost of this event is $35 for the 5K and $20 for the 1-mile Fun Run. If you grab some friends, you can all join in for a discounted rate of $30 per person for groups of 4 or more. This price includes this year’s HICF 5K t-shirt, which will be available for local pick-up on October 1st from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in Conner’s parking lot or mailed to all from out of the area on October 2nd.
