Kick off your shoes and live like an Islander! This adorable oceanfront home in Rodanthe is sure to become your favorite home away from home. Set back off the highway with plenty of vegetation for a little privacy, Islander is a cottage your whole family can enjoy!
Enter on the main living level upstairs. The comfortable living area features a flat screen TV, Blu-Ray player, stereo, and access to a Netflix account so you can watch your favorite family films. With the great ocean view, though, you may never want to look away from the ocean-facing windows! The living area is open to the eat-in kitchen, where your hungry crew will gather for good food while swapping tales of the day’s adventures.
Pick a book or a puzzle from the built-in shelf in the hallway to enjoy as you drift off in one of the 3 bedrooms on this level. The king master bedroom has a TV with DVD player. A queen bedroom with TV and a bedroom with 2 single beds with TV and DVD player share a full bathroom off the hallway. Downstairs is an additional bedroom with 2 bunk sets and a TV with DVD player, perfect for giving the kids a little space of their own.
The fun continues outside. Relax in the hot tub with ocean views by day and plenty of starlight by night. A charcoal grill at the bottom of the stairs is perfect for cooking up the day’s catch reeled in right off the beach and carrying it upstairs to enjoy around the picnic table.
Enjoy the short walk to the beach via the sand path behind the house. Grab your towel, a good book, and some sunscreen and spend all day catching some rays as you splash in the surf. Head back to the house for a quick picnic lunch before you hit the sand again!
Local attractions and activities like the Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station and a beach equipment rental shop are just down the street, and you are just a few minutes away from some of the finest dining Hatteras Island has to offer. No matter what adventure you seek, Islander is the place to be!
Note: The NCDOT is in the process of constructing a new bridge, commonly referred to as the “Jug-Handle Bridge”, to allow easier access and traffic flow to the villages of Hatteras Island. This home is near the project site and may be subjected to the sights and sounds of bridge construction.
