The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament has been a cherished Hatteras Island tradition every November since 1958. Each year, 120 invited teams, made up of six anglers each, compete in morning and afternoon fishing sessions across designated beach zones on Thursday and Friday. The excitement continues on Saturday with the Bob Bernard Open Individual Tournament, which welcomes any angler who registers in advance to test their skills along the island’s renowned shoreline.
