Sheets provided year round. For all full- and partial-week stays checking in after May 14, 2026, and before September 4, 2026, sheets and towels will be provided and beds will be made on check-in day with the exception of top bunks, sofa beds, trundles, and futons (these sheets will be left in the cottage for you). Towel sets include 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth and will be provided for the maximum occupancy of the cottage.

Get ready to feel right at home at Oh Be eXcited, an elevated single-level, pet-friendly retreat in the heart of Avon! With the beach and some of the village’s favorite hot spots just minutes away, this property offers the ideal balance of privacy, adventure, and beach fun for the whole family.
Outfitted in a soothing coastal color palette, the home's inviting interior creates a relaxed atmosphere for gathering and spending quality time together. An open floorplan seamlessly blends the kitchen, dining, and living areas into one spacious setting designed for connection, whether sharing meals, catching up on the day's adventures, or simply enjoying each other's company. A sleeper sofa in the living room also provides additional flexibility for sleeping arrangements if needed. Down the hall are three cozy bedrooms, each boasting ample room for family and friends. A king en suite hosts a private bathroom with a shower stall. The other two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a pyramid bunk set, are serviced by a full bathroom nearby. All bedrooms throughout provide their own TV for easy relaxation. The laundry area is centrally located for everyone’s convenience.
The charm continues outdoors where a screened porch and sundeck feature inviting spots to soak up the sunshine and savor the coastal breeze. The sundeck is also gated, allowing your four-legged companions to join in the outdoor relaxation. Beneath the home, a spacious shaded gathering area offers even more room to unwind, complete with a picnic table, gas and charcoal grills, a stainless steel fish cleaning station, an enclosed outside shower, crushed granite fire pit, and comfortable spaces for lounging after a day in the sun.
Use the community beach access at the end of the street to spend your day hunting for seashells, building sandcastles, or casting a line, all just a few minutes from your front door. A paved multi-use path winds through the village of Avon, making it easy to explore the area on foot or by bike with the whole family, including your four-legged companions. Along the way, discover some of Hatteras Island’s best eateries, shops, nightlife, and local attractions.
