Sheets and towels are provided for all full week stays. Beds will be made on check-in day with the exception of top bunks, sofa beds, trundles, and futons (these sheets will be left in the cottage for you). Towel sets include 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth and will be provided for the maximum occupancy of the cottage.

Let the salty breeze blow through your hair at Mermaid by the Sea. This cozy oceanfront home is just the place for your family and furry loved ones on your next Hatteras Island getaway. With breathtaking ocean views and the beach right at your fingertips, you can’t go wrong when you visit this comfortable home.
All three bedrooms are on the first level. The ample oceanfront queen en suite bedroom with 32-inch smart TV opens onto the shaded deck with stairs to the large yard, the perfect place for cornhole tournaments or just enjoying some sunshine. Down the hall are two bedrooms each with a queen bed and a bunk set. A full bathroom with ceramic tile floor and the laundry area are also on this level.
Come together upstairs in the open kitchen, dining and living area. A full kitchen with breakfast bar compliments the bar height dining table and chairs so guests can enjoy the fantastic views of the ocean over a deliciously home cooked meal. The living area will provide a perfect backdrop for time spent with family. The seating area faces the two oceanfront sliders, boasting ocean views over the dune, while a 55-inch smart TV allows for easy screening. For added convenience, you'll also find a half bath on this level. Take your coffee out onto the furnished sundeck to catch stunning sunrises by day or watch the moonrise by night.
Grab your beach toys and fishing gear and take a short walk via the community boardwalk located right beside the house, so you will be on the beach in a jiffy, surfing, splashing, and beachcombing to your heart’s desire.
