Pets Permitted
These homes will gladly accept domestic, housebroken pets unless otherwise noted. Pets are not permitted on the grounds of any home not designated pet friendly. Any additional restrictions (for example, some property owners only permit dogs) will be noted in the property details. An additional pet fee could be incurred. Please contact our office for more details.

Private Pool
Unheated private pools are available from April 19 to October 12, 2024 unless otherwise noted in the property description.

Pool Heat $600
Heated private pools and pool heat (if provided) can be available from March 22 to October 26, 2024 for an additional fee. Certain private pools offer free heat; check cottage description for dates that heat will be available. During times of extremely low temperature or high wind, pools may not heat to what tenant believes to be an acceptable temperature. No refund will be given due to adverse weather conditions. Pool heat requested on check-in day or later will result in an additional convenience fee.

Hot Tub
These homes feature private (or, in the case of Atlantic View Estates properties, community) hot tubs. Tubs are cleaned and sanitized before each rental. A great way to take the "off season" chill away. As used on our web site, Hot Tub does not mean the traditional wooden tubs found in many mountain ski resorts; in other areas, our Hot Tubs might be called Spas. Most of them are located outside on a deck or poolside; a select few are inside the home and/or adjacent or even built in to the pool. A Jacuzzi is not a Hot Tub; it is a trademark bathtub, in many shapes and sizes, typically found in the bathroom (although a select few homes in our program may have the Jacuzzi inside the master bedroom).

Gold - Seasonal
Sheets provided year round. For all full week stays checking in after May 17 and before August 29, 2024 sheets and towels will be provided and beds will be made on check-in day with the exception of top bunks, sofa beds, trundles, and futons (these sheets will be left in the cottage for you). Towel sets include 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth and will be provided for the maximum occupancy of the cottage.

Description
If you’re looking for a taste of the good life, look no further than The Salty Sailor. This beautiful oceanside home is tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and will leave you feeling pampered. An elevator located in the ground level carport with service to all levels will help make move-in a breeze and provide easy access coming and going for those with limited mobility and guests that prefer not to tackle the stairs. With dogs permitted, a wood burning fire pit - there is convenience, recreation and relaxation at your fingertips. This home will be the perfect vacation spot for you and your family.
The fun starts in the ground level screened area, which doubles as a breezy rec room with a picnic table, TV, Xbox One (bring your own games), and wet bar, along with a convenient outside shower complete with toilet. In addition, this under-house area includes a ping pong table and Foosball, plus a horseshoe pit and 2 sets of corn hole games (bring your own bags) behind the pool fence, volleyball net in the side yard and basketball hoop (by the driveway). Also, on this level is the bubbly hot tub, the ultimate spot for luxurious relaxation to ease your cares away. Splash in the adjacent pool with available heat, catch a tan on the sundeck. A dry entry is also accessed from this under house area and offers easy access to the elevator rain or shine.
Each bedroom has its own TV to entertain your whole party. There are four bedrooms on the first level. Two bedrooms each have 1 bunk set and 1 pyramid bunk set and share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Across the hall are a king en suite bedroom and a queen bedroom. The laundry area is located on this level, as well as shaded decks at either end of the hall. A half bathroom is located on the landing between this level and the upper level.
Upstairs is an additional king en suite bedroom with shower stall in the private bathroom. With vaulted ceilings and plentiful windows, the open living, dining, and kitchen area with breakfast bar will put some natural light in your life. Stargaze at twilight from the furnished sundeck off the living and dining area, or sip your morning coffee while planning your day’s adventures.
Nearby shopping, dining, and other fun activities will keep everyone entertained for your whole stay. The Rodanthe Fishing Pier and Kitty Hawk Kites are within walking distance so you can cast a line or take advantage of water sports fun!
