Recover your inner peace at Sound of Mind. This beautifully-appointed soundside home borders the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge and offers ocean-to-sound views that are sure to satisfy your soul.
Enter on the first level, where you can shoot some pool or challenge friends to a few rounds of foosball in the game room. There is a mini-fridge and TV here as well, so you can kick back with some munchies and your favorite show until it's your turn to play. The kids will enjoy having their own space in the pyramid bunk bedroom with TV and a bedroom with two single beds. A full bathroom with shower stall is also on this level.
Between the soothing views of the sound and the large, open floor plan of the living, dining and kitchen area -- the middle level will be a natural gathering point for you and your loved ones, especially with the new flooring and decor you'll find throughout. Show off your culinary skills on the beautiful, new granite countertops in the kitchen, and recruit a few sous chefs to assist you while they sit at the breakfast bar. When dinner is done, head to one of the cozy, new couches to relax, or find a nook outside on the shaded wrap-around deck, or sundeck, to watch the sunset. Once the cooler air of the night rolls in, retreat to the hot tub, lay your head back and get lost in the stars. A queen bedroom is also on this level, along with a full bathroom and the laundry area with freestanding icemaker.
Two spacious king master bedrooms, one with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower stall in the bathroom, are on the third level. Both bedrooms have TVs and views of the sound and Wildlife Refuge, and one has an ocean view.
Spend your days lounging by the private pool or head out for any number of exciting activities. Community beach access and tennis courts are a short walk away, along with community sound access for windsurfing, kayaking and kiting. Sound of Mind rests at the northern end of Hatteras Island, so you are ideally situated for day trips to Kitty Hawk. You can also hop in your 4WD vehicle and head to the beaches in Corolla, where you can still find wild horses roaming freely.
Living room TV and all queen and king bedroom TVs have cable; the TVs in the game room, pyramid bunk bedroom, and bedroom with two single beds have DVD players only (no cable).
Note: The NCDOT is in the process of constructing a new bridge, commonly referred to as the “Jug-Handle Bridge”, to allow easier access and traffic flow to the villages of Hatteras Island. This home is near the project site and may be subjected to the sights and sounds of bridge construction.
