  • Private Pool

    Unheated private pools are available from April 19 to October 10, 2024 unless otherwise noted in the property description.
  • Pool Heat $600

    Heated private pools and pool heat (if provided) can be available from March 22 to October 28, 2024 for an additional fee. Certain private pools offer free heat; check cottage description for dates that heat will be available. During times of extremely low temperature or high wind, pools may not heat to what tenant believes to be an acceptable temperature. No refund will be given due to adverse weather conditions. Pool heat requested on check-in day or later will result in an additional convenience fee.
  • Hot Tub

    These homes feature private (or, in the case of Atlantic View Estates properties, community) hot tubs. Tubs are cleaned and sanitized before each rental. A great way to take the "off season" chill away. As used on our web site, Hot Tub does not mean the traditional wooden tubs found in many mountain ski resorts; in other areas, our Hot Tubs might be called Spas. Most of them are located outside on a deck or poolside; a select few are inside the home and/or adjacent or even built in to the pool. A Jacuzzi is not a Hot Tub; it is a trademark bathtub, in many shapes and sizes, typically found in the bathroom (although a select few homes in our program may have the Jacuzzi inside the master bedroom).
  • Game Room

    Please refer to the property description for the specific features provided in this home's game room.
  • Fireplace

    Fireplaces are only available for use November 1 to May 1. Midgett Realty does not provide wood for wood burning fireplaces. Some fireplaces are only decorative, which will be noted in the house description.
  • Elevator

    Elevators do not ensure handicap accessibility.
  • Handicap Accessible

    Some of our Hatteras properties include elevators, wheelchair ramps, and bedrooms / living spaces on the main level to help make those with special needs more comfortable.
  • Gold - All Seasons

    Sheets and towels are provided for all full and partial week stays. Beds will be made on check-in day with the exception of top bunks, sofa beds, trundles, and futons (these sheets will be left in the cottage for you). Towel sets include 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth and will be provided for the maximum occupancy of the cottage.

Water Lily has spectacular panoramic sound and sunset views, and will be a welcome sanctuary for your whole family.  With 6 bedrooms, 5 full baths and 2 half baths, 5 bedrooms are en suite, and 3 bedrooms walk out to the spacious rear decks of the home. For your convenience, a wooden ramp provides access to the ground level deck and entry with the elevator located just inside the door for access to all the floors of the home for easy move-in and for guests that prefer not to tackle the stairs.

Enter through the covered front entrance or take the ramp that leads up and around to the back shaded deck with first level entry and elevator access. Also on this level is a king bedroom with TV and bathroom with tub/shower combination. Just off the hall is a game room with pool table and wet bar with microwave, full size refrigerator, TV and access out to the covered deck. The adjoining media room features a 58" Plasma TV/DVD with surround sound. Also on this level is a half bath as well as access at the end of the hall out to the shaded deck with steps down to the pool area.

The second level has 4 bedrooms; 2 king en suites each has access to the covered deck, a king bedroom and pyramid bunk room share the hall full bath. The laundry area is also located on this level. All bedrooms have TVs.

A second king en suite on the top level with deck access and bathroom with easy walk-in shower and double vanity sinks, is a soothing, quiet place to relax at the end of a fun and exciting day. A spacious living, dining, and kitchen area with adjacent half bath is a perfect gathering place for your whole family; with a 42" Plasma home theater system, a gas fireplace to take the chill off those cool off-season evenings, and plenty of windows with views of the sound and marshland. The two slider doors open onto a furnished deck that offers both sun and shade, is ideal for taking in an unforgettable Hatteras Island sunset or the perfect perch for stargazing at night.

The fun continues outside, with a private pool with available heat and a hot tub. Watersport enthusiasts will appreciate and enjoy the easy walk to the water’s edge of the Pamlico Sound along a grass path and equipment rigging area directly behind the house. This private launch site is perfectly suited for kiting, windsurfing, stand up paddle boards and kayaking. Or spend your days fishing, clamming, and exploring the shallow waters of the sound.

When you are ready to have your toes in the sand, beach access is nearby, while dining, shopping and other fun activities including, equipment rentals, bait and tackle, and fresh seafood are a short drive away.
