These homes will gladly accept domestic, housebroken pets unless otherwise noted. Pets are not permitted on the grounds of any home not designated pet friendly. Any additional restrictions (for example, some property owners only permit dogs) will be noted in the property details. An additional pet fee could be incurred. Hot Tub
These homes feature private (or, in the case of Atlantic View Estates properties, community) hot tubs. Tubs are cleaned and sanitized before each rental. A great way to take the "off season" chill away. As used on our web site, Hot Tub does not mean the traditional wooden tubs found in many mountain ski resorts; in other areas, our Hot Tubs might be called Spas. Most of them are located outside on a deck or poolside; a select few are inside the home and/or adjacent or even built in to the pool. A Jacuzzi is not a Hot Tub; it is a trademark bathtub, in many shapes and sizes, typically found in the bathroom (although a select few homes in our program may have the Jacuzzi inside the master bedroom).

Sheets provided year round. For all full and partial week stays checking in after May 17 and before August 29, 2024 sheets and towels will be provided and beds will be made on check-in day with the exception of top bunks, sofa beds, trundles, and futons (these sheets will be left in the cottage for you). Towel sets include 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth and will be provided for the maximum occupancy of the cottage.

Just a short walk from the beach in Rodanthe and within close proximity to shops, restaurants, and attractions, you’ll find the comforts and conveniences of this dog-friendly home all that you need and more.
Upon arrival, you’ll find a double carport is largely enclosed, providing great storage space for your beach gear outside of the elements. Utilize either all-weather entry to access the first living level where you’ll find four of the home’s five bedrooms: two queen rooms, a room with one queen and one single, and another room with two singles. All rooms aside from one of the queen rooms open to the shaded deck with hot tub and ocean views that reaches all levels. Two full bathrooms and a laundry room are central to the floor for easy access from all bedrooms.
The final bedroom, a king room with entry to the sundeck offering views of the Rodanthe oceanfront, rests comfortably on the top floor. Also offering access to the final bathroom shared with the floor, you’ll enjoy the luxuries of the jacuzzi for two after long days of fun in the sun. A sprawling great room with cathedral ceilings is the optimal place for all to gather. A sizeable kitchen is a welcome spot to cook up some coastal cuisine using the island’s freshest ingredients sourced right from our local waters. The nearby dining table and breakfast bar provide a variety of seating options for added convenience, and when dinner is done, everyone will easily gravitate toward the sundeck to catch a glimpse of the island’s famously darkened skies with unmatched stargazing and views of the moonrise.
After your time at Wayward Wind, you’ll be glad you let it blow you onto the pristine beaches of Hatteras Island for an unbeatable time of family togetherness.
