Hot Tub
These homes feature private (or, in the case of Atlantic View Estates properties, community) hot tubs. Tubs are cleaned and sanitized before each rental. A great way to take the "off season" chill away. As used on our web site, Hot Tub does not mean the traditional wooden tubs found in many mountain ski resorts; in other areas, our Hot Tubs might be called Spas. Most of them are located outside on a deck or poolside; a select few are inside the home and/or adjacent or even built in to the pool. A Jacuzzi is not a Hot Tub; it is a trademark bathtub, in many shapes and sizes, typically found in the bathroom (although a select few homes in our program may have the Jacuzzi inside the master bedroom).

An intimate waterfront retreat, this cottage is located on the Pamlico Sound in Buxton Village is mere steps from the water’s edge, boasts sweeping water views from inside and outside and provides plenty of room for the family, including your dogs. So everyone can spread out and enjoy some peace and quiet.
The ground level provides ample parking and a large yard and storage space under the home to keep all your beach, fishing and watersport gear out of the elements. An outdoor enclosed half bath is also located in this under-house area. With direct shared access to the sound so you can easily launch your kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, kiteboards, or any other water toy on your wish list. The access point will also give your fur babies a chance to splash around in the shallow waters and join in on the fun.
Take the stairs up to the entry deck on the first level. This furnished deck wraps around three sides of the home with spectacular water views. Inside on this level is an open design with the living, dining and kitchen with breakfast bar seating and provides room for everyone to gather and be a part of the conversation. This cozy space with built in shelving, desk space and wood accents will make it easy for you to sit back, relax and enjoy the slower ways of island life. There are 2 sliders for convenient access to the decks from two sides of the dining and living area, while a door in the kitchen opens to an enclosed furnished porch, which is where the hot tub and locked laundry room are located.
Down the hall are the bedrooms inviting you to catch up on your beauty rest and include two queen bedrooms, (1 with TV) and a spacious king en suite bedroom with TV and slider door for direct access to the enclosed porch. There are also 2 full bathrooms off the hall across from the two queen rooms.
The grassy area is great for rigging your gear and the launch will be everyone’s delight, perfect for board sports or head out on your kayak for exciting days on the Pamlico Sound. Whether you’re looking for fish, clams, or the sheer rush of catching the wind, your days on the water are sure to give you exactly what you need. At the end of each fun-filled day, watch a breathtaking sunset from the spacious deck or while relaxing in the hot tub on the enclosed porch.
Whether you choose the sound or ocean as your form of saltwater therapy, nearby in either direction on Highway 12 you will find some of the most pristine beaches around. Also conveniently located are shopping, groceries, restaurants, and seafood markets just minutes away.
