While planning your wedding on the Outer Banks, keep in mind that there are certain restrictions and policies that apply. Although beaches along the Outer Banks are public, you should contact the town in which the ceremony will take place to inquire about issues such as parking, vehicle rules, beach bonfires and information regarding reception activities. The Register of Deeds, located in Manteo, issues marriage licenses for Dare County. Both parties must be present to apply for the license.
