Hatteras North Carolina Outer Banks News

Outer Banks Sunset

At approximately 50 miles long, Hatteras Island is one of the longest stretches of island in the continental US. It is also one of the least populated areas on the Outer Banks, making it a fantastic spot to relax, fish and soak in the sun. Here at Midgett Realty, we come from a long line of Hatteras residents who take pride in our community and all it has to offer. We're happy to share Outer Banks news and fun Hatteras activities with locals and visitors alike, as you enjoy this special place. Read about everything from traffic and construction updates to area guides and business openings.

Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, seven days a week.

This morning, a News Release, courtesy of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and National Park Service, provided trip planning tips that emphasize on beach safety and rip current awareness, along with updates on lifeguarded beach locations. It is absolutely imperative to go over these things with every member in your party before vacationing at the beach, whether they be children or adults.
