Holidays on Hatteras

As the old song goes, the holidays (during a normal year) are widely celebrated as “the most wonderful time of the year”. In the midst of a global pandemic, we can only hope and pray as much!

As we’ve noted, Hatteras Island is a great place for Coastal Distancing and Coastal Distance Learning.

On every second Saturday of December, much like the Whos down in Whoville, the people of Hatteras Island come together to celebrate the holidays with the annual tradition of the Hatteras Village Christmas Parade.

Coming to Hatteras Island over the month of December? You're in luck! Not only is the scenery on point, but in addition to the shops and restaurants, you'll see the community togetherness with some fun holiday events!
