This 156 foot tall lighthouse is located north of the Oregon Inlet Bridge. A visitor's center in the old keeper's quarters features exhibits, a bookstore and is open year-round.

The northern beaches of the Outer Banks of North Carolina include the towns of Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head, with Nags Head being one of the most central.
Nags Head is filled with history and adventure, from the Bodie Island Lighthouse to the gigantic sand dunes of Jockey’s Ridge State Park - both excellent options for day trip activities. There are also ample opportunities to enjoy water sports in this OBX town. If you make a stop in Nags Head, make sure to come hungry as there is an excellent array of top notch restaurants on this part of the Outer Banks.
