The Hatteras Village Christmas Parade December 11
If you missed the Hatteras Village Christmas Parade, no worries, check out the slideshow of all the floats and contestants. A huge thanks to everyone who participated, and made this day a special event. This was the best Christmas Parade yet!!
Poulos Family Light Display November 29 – December 31
The Poulos Family Light Display is one remarkable presentation! This particular Light Display was a national winner on the Today’s Show for a light contest, and has also been featured on HGTV! The viewings begin on November 29, and run all the way through December 31, from 5pm-9pm. Any Christmas decoration you can imaging can be seen at the Poulos Family home. The Poulos Family Light Display is known on the Outer Banks for their amazing light show, and it is something you want to check out if you are in the area!
The directions to the home are: Located in Kill Devil Hills near the Nags Head Woods entrance Heading South on Rt. 158 into Kill Devil Hills 1. Proceed to light at Ocean Acres Dr. (opposite MacDonald’s) 2. Turn right at Ocean Acres Dr. 3. The road will change from paved to gravel as you go up a hill. Just over the top of the hill you will see the Poulos home.
Winter Lights at the Elizabethan Gardens will be held December 4 – 30, 2011.
The Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo is a special sight this time of year! Come and kick-off the Holidays with the Winter Lights at the Elizabethan Gardens! The Grand Illumination begins on December 3 from 6pm-9pm. Come and feast your eyes on the Elizabethan Gardens, as the beautiful Gardens are turned into “an illuminated winter wonderland”. Winter Lights, “Lights & Sights”, is 18 nights of lights and flower displays at The Gardens! The “Lights & Sights” will be Tuesdays through Saturdays, December 4-30, from 6pm-9pm. The Gardens will be closed December 24-25.

The Frisco Jubilee Comes to Rodanthe on December 16
The Frisco Jubilee is coming to the Rodanthe, Waves & Salvo Community Center! If you are in the mood for some classic favorites such as gospel, blues, country and pop tunes, this is the event for you!
Martin Garrish and friends will join “Nights in Rodanthe” fiddler Herb “Speedy” Price and the Frisco Jubilee musicians to provide a fun filled evening of classic favorites! Performers include Martin Garrish, Speedy Price, Clifford Swain, Jaki Gray, April Trueblood, John Couch, Mahon Blue, Caitlyn Gray, and Johnny Baum will contribute his original poetry.
Tickets are $10 at the door and music will begin at 7:30pm. The Frisco Jubilee show will benefit Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo Recovery. For more information about the show call 995-3540. We look forward to seeing you there!
