If you haven’t been keeping up with the series, we are eating our way through the Hatteras Villages so you can do the same. This week we’re in Avon gobbling up all of their delicious appetizers as a convenient way to fit more in and try more treats! Appetizer up!

Choriquezo: Chorizo + queso = AH-MAZING!
Cheese Dip: Creamy queso perfect for chip dipping!
PANGEA TAVERN:
Wonton Tuna Poke: Crispy wontons topped with tuna poke, crabmeat, pico de gallo, scallions, jalapeños, and wasabi sour cream
Duck Poutine: Their hand-cut Tavern Fries covered in brown gravy, cheese curds, and tender Duck Confit
OCEANA’S BISTRO:
Seafood Nachos: Tuna, shrimp and scallops in a sherry white cheddar sauce topped with black bean, corn and mango salsa
Fish Tacos: Lightly battered and fried wahoo in a hard shell topped with their Asian coleslaw and homemade mango salsa
THE MAD CRABBER:
Fish Bites: Fried Grouper chunks served with wasabi aioli
Crab Dip: Homemade creamy crab dip broiled with a melted cheese blend and served with homemade chips
Grilled Sea Scallops: Grilled in a teriyaki glaze and served with seaweed salad and wasabi aioli
